Tell us about your sports & fitness background:  I have always belonged to a gym and I occasionally run a 5K with my best friend.

How did you first get exposed to CrossFit? Take us back to your first WOD… what was it, and how did it feel?  An ex-boyfriend introduced me to it and convinced me to try it.  He even had me watch the Crossfit Games.    I do not remember my first WOD but I do remember Lauren being next to me and cheering me on.  I was so happy to finish the workout and realized that YES! I can do this.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)? I have more muscle definition and stronger quads.  I have more energy and eat a lot healthier (thanks to Jared’s nutrition suggestions).

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?  The friendships that I have made since joining.  Also, the sense of community that CFKSQ has especially during the quarantine.  I was amazed at how much we all supported each other in our workouts.  I have not experienced that with any other gym before.

Any advice for people just getting started? Walk in the Door!  You can do this.  Be consistent with your workout routine.

What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?  Cheering on my son at his basketball games, going to the beach, hiking the trails with my son and our 2 dogs and pouring/serving wine at the local winery.
